Communications:
learning will continue informally, options to invite someone from Ladera Sur or
Paragon Journal to speak to us about the communication and media issues in the
region but also work on opportunities to bolster their work and have funders know
more about their work.
Just Energy
Transition: learning will continue informally, Cristina will keep sharing
relevant articles on the topics especially lithium, desalination, green
hydrogen + explore opportunities for webinar in coordination with CEFG and
BFG.
SBAP:
Cristina will get in touch with Eugenio to explore how to deepen the topic
around SBAP especially how it connects to salmon farming management and ECMPOs.
Workgroups
can move forward in different ways according to the objectives for each one of
the them: we can opt for peer lead conversation with the purpose of sharing
strategies, status on projects and knowledge sharing; We can opt to invite
guest speakers if external expertise is preferred; landscape assessment;
potential for spearheading co funding opportunities around project we determine
are relevant for the groups.
ECMPOS: a
first workgroup call will be scheduled to determine the objectives and define
possible direction for the workgroup.

- Lot son new projects and opportunities developing around this topic that would greatly benefit from more collaboration (from legal support, to technical support and also projects around environmental leaders security)
- Information sharing and mapping out who is supporting which initiative to have better clarity or where funders are focused on.
- Discuss political opposition to ECMPOs projects, how can funders counteract it.
Salmon
Farming: a first workgroup call will be scheduled to determine the objectives
and define possible direction for the workgroup.
Topics and

- Ramping up work around campaign against Salmon Farming in Protected Areas, perhaps even develop a campaign in the US (which is a primary market for Chilean Salmon)
- Input from Terram seems very important at this stage.
- Discussion on developing common strategies and positions for NGOs to create a more unified perspective around salmon farming and how can funders encourage this movement.
River and
Land Conservation: a first workgroup call will be scheduled to determine the
objectives and define possible direction for the workgroup.

- Find mechanism for collaboration around projects for those who wish to expand their portfolio
- Opportunity to learn more about water issues especially focused on the reserve flow mechanism.
